Unless somebody hacked into Amazon just to have fun with us, I would say it looks legit. Of course, there is no art or description or anything...

I'm shocked they decided to do a 2nd volume. I will buy this no doubt!

I doubt very much that it will be out in April! This is a Fall release for Xmas!

Did Capital have the rights for "Help" when it was released. There was "Beatles VI", "Rubber Soul", "Yesterday...And Today" and "Revelover". Perhaps these four? I'd like the U.S. "Rubber Soul" (this may actually get me to start listening to The Beatles again), but don't care about the film score for "Help". Great if the mono "Pepper" was included, but the numbers don't seem to work. . .

No one so far has asked the most important question ... what kind of crappy packaging is this one going to come in? :p

Seriously, I hope they put a little more effort into the packaging this time. The first box looks almost like it was deliberately designed to say, "Don't buy this."

My guess: The Early Beatles, Beatles VI, Help & Rubber Soul

Sounds right to me. And the article posted in the other Beatle thread indicated Early Beatles, Help and Rubber Soul by name.

Jensen had the Rubber Soul, Help! and The Early Beatles tapes in his mastering suite, along with CD-R cut from first pressing vinyl so he could compare.

Regarding the packaging, I agree the first volume was pretty bad. Considering how cool those Capitol Album covers were, they could have created graphics that had that 60's Capitol feel to it.

As much as I hated the original artwork, would it make sense to totally revamp it in mid-series?

(I, TOO, can't wait for "Rubber Soul, USA". "Nowhere Man" on Rubber Soul? YECH!!! ;) )

Yeah, the packaging on the first one was awful. You cannot handle that package without the cd's falling out on the floor!!

Yep, help was on Capitol. They weren't going to make that mistake again.

4/11 is at the start of the second quarter. Isn't that traditionally a weak quarter that a (hehe) Beatles set could perk up?

Me neither. It's actually somewhat difficult getting the discs out of mine. I have the Target version (small box).

I didn't buy the first one, under the theory that if we bought it, it would encourage more of the same. I see I didn't enlist enough to help me in that effort. Oh well.

I've seen nothing to indicate what the four are, but it seems more logical that we'd get BEATLES VI, RUBBER SOUL (those two for sure) with THE EARLY BEATLES and YESTERDAY AND TODAY. HELP! in the American incarnation is a total hosing of the buying pubic, and the Beatles are all about value, right?

Nevermind, I forgot what I was talking about for a minute. Still, REVOLVER and HELP! are completely unnecessary--the UK versions have all the Beatle music on there, no variation in content, and THE EARLY BEATLES is covered with PLEASE PLEASE ME, right?

Maybe it's only a three disc box?

JcS (who just checked the ad, and it's priced like a 4 disc set, so . . .)
