Kinks Deluxe editions available for pre-order

I just ordered the Deluxe editions for the first three albums from Amazon UK (21 dollars each after conversion). From the available track listings I can only assume that one disc is stereo and the other mono. Ships 2/28.

 

Cool! Just out of curiosity, where did you see the track listings? I didn't see that they were posted on the Amazon page.

I've use this site a lot & can recommend them.

They are not listed at HMV.com yet, but I'll be interested to know what their prices will be.

 

I doubt that. It would probably be similar to the "Village Green" release.

 

Was really hoping for a Something Else DE. Oh well, maybe in the future...

 

Well I'll have to wait to see if this is an improvement over any past masterings. The first looks good. My guess is first album stereo/mono plus outtakes and the a bunch of BBC stuff of Disc 2. Kinda Kinks looks slim and I hope this isn't the actual tracklisting.

 

I suppose it "looks slim" in comparison to the Kinks tracklisting, but 23 bonus tracks seems pretty generous by most standards.

Most of this stuff is already familiar, especially if you have a few bootlegs, but there are still some intriguing tracks here.

The UK prices are still very high at the moment for some reason. Hopefully they will come down closer to the release date

 

I don't really think of them as "bonus tracks" if they're on a completely different disc. How long is Kinda Kinks? Probably 25 to 30 minutes. I'm just hoping there's a little more. You could probably fit that album plus 23 tracks on one cd (or be close to it). I really hope these cd's will end up being the essential go-to's for this period of the Kinks.

 

These things always drop in price. Time is my friend. I'll wait until they are about £8.99
