Best Buy's CD Clearance Bin... You Might Want To Dig Through

A lot of the Best Buys up here started a CD clearance bin in the CD section.

I found these today.

If you see one, dig deep.

Three were at Sherway. The other was at Heartland.

I checked the Oakville Dundas store last week... nada.

 

I've not heard of the SACD Ronan Keating "Destination"

I've checked out 3 local stores in the last 2 days....no clearance bins yet.

Though I did buy Amanda Marshal and a spare copy of Keb' Mo' Just Like You @ 25% off

We only have 4 other stores in the area....will make the rounds next week.

You really gotta wonder where they have been hiding this stuff.

 

shoot -- just came from there and didn't notice anything.

 

The sale seems to be at the Canadian stores in Ontario only at this point in time.

 

This is also the first time in my life I've seen this. The question that arises is if it's Jeanette or Lulu who can be heard on "We've Got Tonight."

It seems to me after looking actively for SACDs over the last year that they must have shipped all of them from the U.S. to Canada for Phil to buy...

 

This is a little off topic, but...

I was a BB today doing a little Christmas Shopping and happened along a large display of Holiday Music. Most of it was the reg. stuff, but I did find three interesting disc. The first was called Hollywood Christmas ($11.99). Nothing really special until I got to the last track. It was Holiday Road by Lindsey Buckingham! Maybe I'm wrong but I thought this song had never released. The other two discs: Christmas 80s and Christmas 70s cost $2.99 each - The 70s disc was most intesting to me - bands like Poco, America. If I remember correctly each disc had like 16-17 tracks. The 80s disc was less interesting but did have the Motels doing Santa Baby. FYI.

 

I have never seen a CD clearance bin at a Best Buy store in the U.S. The thread title should probably be edited to reflect Ontario, Canada.

 

It would be nice, but as I said, I've never seen a bin of clearance CDs at Best Buy, let alone SACDs.

Gary, why don't you do some shopping for me?

 

Me either - although I did notice that the sacds that were lingering at my fave BB here just suddenly vanished - they used to be mixed up with the weird "budget" el cheapo cds in a big mess, then they were gone. Such is the way....

Still, better to be safe than sorry. I'll be checking my local Best Buys out tomorrow.
