That's what I say. It's a toss-up between Benefit and Stand Up for me, with This Was to follow.

I know I must be alone in the world, but Aqualung just never did it for me the way the first three did. And by Thick as a Brick, I really didn't want to know any more. Give me songs, not suites, please.

I always thought Stand Up would be picked over Benefit - but if I'm wrong, so be it.

I love 'em all.

 

Stand Up. If you were to do a list of the top ten all-time underrated records, this would make it. It's got Martin Barre's finest work, lush orchestral backdrops, psychedelic blues, jazzy interludes, and of course, Fat Man.
