I was going to purchase David Crosby's If I Could Only Remember My Name CD/DVD on Amazon and noticed it didn't have a price. I tried a few other sites which didn't even have this title listed. Does this mean this is already out of print? Is this usually what happens when a title is out of print?
I've seen it in a few stores, so I can still get it, but I'm wondering if I should make it a priority.

    Thanks! :)

Of course I have this on LP, but I bought the CD from Tower when they were 60% off. That wasn't that long ago. I just listened to it last night and it's a very enjoyable and often overlooked record.

Another good one I haven't heard in a while from the same time was 'Music For Beginners' by Graham Nash. I don't think I ever saw that one on CD. It's on my list of needledrops to do.

I seriously recommend both of these records. :righton:

i thought this had not been out very long.
    it's the CD / DVD-A.
I've been keeping an eye out for it and have yet to see it.

Songs for Beginners is (or was) out on CD -and I'm actually impressed
with the way the CD sounds - there is an RE-1 version, but in this case,
it sounds like there's hardly any (if any at all..) difference in the audio
quality of either issue... Great album, by the way!.....

Sorry, I should have pointed out that I already own the original CD of this. It's been one of my favorites for years. I was just curious if the CD/DVD version is out of print.

Thanks for the recommendations anyway! You've convinced me to buy it again :righton:

At any rate pick this one up when and where you can. The surround mix, as has been discussed in other threads, is outstanding, with Crosby's stacked vocals all around you. Splendid package.

I got mine from Buy.com with a $10 off promotion only a few months ago and I don't see that item listed anymore. Maybe they didn't press too many of these(?)

Looks like WEA is in a panic deleting anything that's dvd-audio.

Maybe they're planning to go SACD.

I would guess that any DVD-Audio released since mid-2005 was pressed in very limited quantities (except for "Love"), and that getting them when you see them is a good idea.

    For Example:

Mark Knopfler (CD+DVD-A): Sailing to Philadelphia/Shangri-La
    R.E.M. (CD+DVD-A): All 8 Titles
Seal (CD+DVD-A): Seal (1st), Seal (3rd), Seal Hits
Dire Straits (DVD-A DualDisc): Brothers in Arms
Jackson Browne (CD+DVD-A): Running on Empty
Donald Fagen (CD+DVD-A): Morph the Cat
Pete Townshend (DVD-A DualDisc): Rough Mix
    David Crosby (CD+DVD-A): IICORMN
    Doors (CD+DVD-A): Perception

    .....................to name a few!

I saw two of the David Crosby item at FYE today for $25.99 each. I wonder if I should invest in them.

I wonder if WEA is simply correcting the red-book CD.

It says "HDCD" on all packaging as well as on the actual CD itself, but it is NOT an HDCD disc. A screw up. I'd bet correcting this error is all they're up to.

Check other threads on this album for more details on this glitch.

I've seen this one in a store, it's around but probably limited.

That or they've decided they'd really rather see the used market resellers profiting more than themselves. They do seem to be deleting many things before they even get a lot out the door to see long term profit from. DVD-A, SACD, Artists. Stuff like that.
