It's hard to tell about vinyl, but he at least has 2 DCC copies. I think the guy lives in the EU somewhere.

How are there 10 different Japanese cd editions?

  16. Steve, at least he's got 2 copies of the most important version.

Actually, my ELO collection makes his Pet Sounds collection look like a scissy.

I'll be impressed when he gets the Edison Cylinder release.

    That's a nice collection.

I don't see the 1972 Brother/Reprise Pet Sounds LP, MS-2197. In fact, no one ever mentions this reissue on the board. Is it considered inferior?

Hmm and no Russian pirated 'x-ray plate' version? There's work to be done.

And to think that it took so long for this LP to reach platinum.

Wow....and I thought of myself as having 1 or 2 LPs and maybe 3 or 4 CDs of one album was nuts. I guess insanity is all relative. :)
    Very cool though....

So I guess this means he's buying the 40th anniversary edition...

I thought I could beat it, but I am humbled. Between stock copies, promos, test pressings, label variations, U.S. copies, foreign copies, Record Club copies, etc. I have:
    21 copies on vinyl
    13 copies on CD
    1 copy on reel-to-teel
    1 copy on cassette
    1 copy on 8-track

    That's 37; his picture shows 41....
