These are all good choices. But then again, they could have chosen to play "Money," "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" and "Hey You" and I'd be just as thrilled.

Bring it on! Probably my favorite rock band. :)

Breathe? Not the most exciting choice.

I really really hope they're not serious about Macca and U2 and the Sgt. Pepper costumes.

It's the only song of the three that is lyrically appropriate, IMHO.

No vocal solos by Roger Waters (just the verses on "Comfortably Numb")?

I'll gladly listen to whatever they want to play.

After nearly 25 years, I'm not inclined to complain. :)

it will appeal to the masses, but as a long time floyd fan i could have thought of some more original choices. not that the floyd reunion is amazing in itself and im happy and all, so i suppose i should just be happy that they are playing together, im sure for the last time unless some kind of miracle group love thing happens....

Wouldn't this have been a weird way to reunite Pink Floyd:

    Breathe
    On the Turning Away
    The Tide is Turning

Ya know, if the lyrics needed to reflect the day's concerns. US AND THEM might have been a good choice. Anyhoo, I originally heard they'd have a 30 minute set and play four songs, so who knows what they'll actually play. Regardless, I'll be watching and enjoying every minute. Thank you, good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow.

Yes, but I assume he'll be singing harmony on "Breathe" and the last verse of "Wish You Were Here".

Well, you never know - they might have Roger sing parts that he didn't on record...

Glad they are not playing any post-final cut material, but would have liked something other than Breathe.
Us and Them might also be an apt choice in this day and age.

How about that 20 minute song from Meddle? That would be cool.

Of course they won't play anything post Final Cut. Roger has publiclly trashed the band's output since he left.

Breathe is a bit of a surprise, I figured that "Us and Them" was a sure thing. I'm glad they're not playing Money or Another Brick in the wall.

Seems a bit brief for a 30 minute set though.

    From what I've heard:

    Breathe
    Time
    Breathe(Reprise)
    Wish You Were Here
    Comfortably Numb

    Cheers

I thought Rick and Dave did the vocals on Breathe.

'In The Flesh' would've been interesting!
Then 'Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert' segueing into 'The Nile Song'.

Sure......so the 80,000 people could all go HUH? collectively!
They need to play it safe for this. no obscure songs.

Floyd themselves have continually said 4 songs, 3 from DSOTM, regardless of the news articles. I still think it might be: Money, Us and Them, Brain Damage/Eclipse, Comfortably Numb.

That's close to the set list VH1 Classics announced, they didn't include Money, but said a 4th song would be played, but the group hadn't decided on it as of yet...My guess it may be some sort of medley, but we'll all see Saturday. Just to let some people know, the TimesonlineUK is NOT the most accurate source around. They are notorious for spreading false rumours just for publicity....yea i know, not much different than most press outlets, but still. I'm not one to get hung up on material choice, I just hope that a few weeks practice is sufficient for rehearsing. It's not like they can just jump up on stage and play some 3-chord rockers or 12-bar blues...this is PINK FLOYD!!!! Cheers, Ron
