Do you consider any records to be perfect? All killer, no filler?
My favorite all time record is Bowie's Hunky Dory. But even that has a few tracks that are frequently skipped over.
In all honesty, the only albums that I can truly consider 'perfect' are the 1st Ramones LP, the self titled 1967 Small Faces LP and Slayer's "Reign In Blood."

    Thoughts?

If I've learned anything here, it's that some records that I think are perfect aren't considered perfect by others, and vice versa.

I've actually been thinking about this lately. My perfect records would include:

    Bob Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited
    Patti Smith's Horses
    Rolling Stone's Beggar's Banquet

I'm hardly as picky as most here. I have thousands of records I love song to song, "mastering to mastering"

If there are any, that would have to be one of them.

There are so many nearly perfect albums ruined by one or two tracks (looking at you. Synchronisity).

Maybe "Rumors"...it's a good listen all the way through.

And the only thing more overplayed than that album is the hate that is placed on albums for simply being...well, overplayed. But it's a good one nonetheless.

I could name of hundreds of perfect albums in my collection. If it's an album that I enjoy from start to finish, then... it's perfect - according to me.

As for Hunky Dory - if someone skipped any track on that LP while I was listening, they would definitely hear from me about it. Don't even think about it. ;)

Given that the definition of "Perfect Album" in the OP is "All killer, no filler", I have to ask those who've listed "Exile on Main Street":

"Turd on the Run" is killer?! :wtf:

    LOL

For me, a "perfect album" is all about enjoying the ride. The peaks and valleys - the whole package. Even the occasional "turd on the run".
