Ha. Wouldn't it be more correct to say, "Vinyl Is Usually a Collective Noun"? Someone could follow the advice on this shirt and still wind up using irritating and incorrect phrases like, "I want a vinyl of that!" or, "I have three vinyl."

But this one is usually just, "some vinyl".

    Preach it!

    I prefer 'vinyls' and 'rekkids'.

    1. It's much more rock'n'roll (In the spirit of I Can't Get No Satisfaction, Ain't I'm a Dog and the classic Slade singles)
    2. It makes the assumption you've got lots and lots of rekkids. 'Vinyl' sounds like you've only got one.
    3. English ain't Latin. It's a living language. It's changing every day.
    4. If you wanna be precise do you call singles on The Golden World label 'styrenes'?

"Vinyl" should be used the same way we use "food".

I just discovered a new grammatical term: noncount noun.
    (New to me, that is.)

What's funny is that I scrolled all the way to the bottom of the page and realized I actually know the guy in the photo. We worked together at Universal.

Jay and URP did a GREAT job pressing a LP for a band I was working with (Ben Kyle / Romantica's "America" btw.) Dead quiet wax and Jay was incredibly helpful stepping us thru the process. :)
