The FB filename is gibberish, but thanks! We just rewatched Get Back last week, so the restored LIB would be most welcome.
As much as I think Let It Be deserves and needs to be seen and known -- it's bound to be pretty underwhelming after we got 8 hours of killer footage in Get Back. The original film is pretty dismal, with incomplete takes of songs and long periods of Beatles looking bored and tired.
True - not sure who would want to watch them in this order. It's a curiosity, at best. But if there's additional 'new' footage released, count me in!
It's a "Let It Be... Naked" movie, which will just be the original movie but with all clothes removed via AI. Frankly, I think I'll wait to read the reviews.
Yeah, those archive.org downloads just don't cut it no more. Although I fear PJ's ruthless scrubbing of the picture.
If nothing else, the completely performed three songs that were filmed the day after the rooftop will make it worthwhile.
To be honest, it's totally underwhelming. I've already seen it years ago and have no interest in watching it again, especially after Get Back which is SO much better. For fans who never saw it, it might be interesting as an historical artifact though!
A DVD/Blu-ray release of this would be a nice spot for the complete rooftop performance as a bonus...
Yep. Still peeved that they are just abridged credits outtakes in PJ's. On the other hand, I think he didn't want to poach MLH's film too much.
It’s their ommision that had me believing above and beyond anything else that the original film was at some point on the way. That said, a bonus disc with additional outtakes would be beautiful.
