I think when the Stones pull out the occasional semi deep cut like "Get Off My Cloud" or deep cut like "Memory Motel" it is welcomed. Or anything from "Exile" - the serious fans get excited and then the pharmaceutical reps catch on and pretend they're there to hear "Rocks Off" and begin to clap only slightly off beat. If they can sell Rivfloza or Exuua ( spelling is correct, pronunciation varies!) they can sell themselves as being authentic fans!
I'm lucky-dipped for Philly. My 60+ soul wants a seat in the boonies (I can just pee myself instead of missing YGMR), but I really want the Chanel pit.
I was at all three Amsterdam shows where he joined the band on Memory Motel!! To add insult to injury they also played it on the first night of the 5 night run without Matthews. Ugh! I've heard it in other places too, including Boston of course.

"Luxury" would be cool. And "'Where The Boys Go". And "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love". And... and... and...
Funny, I've seen 'em 10 times (and will see them for the 11th come July) but nary a "Memory Motel"...in fact, the only song from BAB I've heard them play was "Crazy Mama," at one of the '97 Oakland shows (and that's not a song I've ever been a big fan of). I'd love to hear "Memory Motel" once, especially given the Keith component, and I guess I wouldn't mind hearing "Hand Of Fate" or "Fool To Cry," but in general, the less from that album, the better!
So what’s the agenda here? Jealousy on your behalf, or just plain stupidity? Lisa Fischer wanted to persue a solo-carrer and was fully backed up in that regard by the whole Stones family. If you want to continue down that path, then at least get your facts correct.
Sounds like Spoiler: Song Title SSoH never gets voted off the island. Going by what happened at Racket, it's a great showcase for Chanel. Cannot. Wait.
Did I miss something, or is YGMR completely OFF the posted rehearsal lists? (Or is it so calcified that they don't need to practice it anymore?) Although, the reappearance of LARS is making my eyebrow rise.
They rehearse a ton of stuff, including lots of rarities that fans want to hear, then release pictures of Ronnie's paintings of the rehearsed songs, then when the tour starts they play YGMR.
For me, it's this sequence: Spoiler: Three hot songs in a row Out Of Time Mess It Up She's A Rainbow which is making me crazy.
Large crowd when I saw them play MM, I think 60,000+ It was transfixing. I doubt that many were even familiar with the song. But they pulled off a beautiful version. In fact, the warhorses were the least interesting songs in that concert.
Ooh, starting to get setlist possibilities. Time for yer pal Oatsdad to put his visits to this thread on ice until late next month when he sees the show!
I just finished a zoom chat with some friends, all of whom, I think, are going to multiple shows. Some 2 or 3, others... more than that. I started out planning for 4 shows, then 5, and, as of last week, added #6. I am relatively close to Mick and Keith's age. I'm amazed they are still touring. And then I'm amazed that I'm still packing my bags, taking long distance trips to see them perform. For each succeeding tour, it takes me a little bit longer to get my ass in gear, but...it's still fun! For everyone headed out to a show somewhere, have a great time and Gold Rings on ya.
