I also am wondering. This is the 3rd or 4th in what might be a long series. Other than making people use this :

    :goodie:

    I see no point.

I would snatch it on day of release!
I love Born Again... it's a bit uneven, but the good tracks on it are really good and, to me, they shine in spite of the sound quality...

I'd even push it further and propose a deluxe edition with the remaster on one disc and the remix on the other, PLUS "The Fallen"...

Remember, these were the sessions that Iommi deliberately (and with Bill's consent) set Ward on fire and put him in hospital. Bill's mum was unthrilled, and called Toni to cuss him out.

Yes, the cover and lyrics are quite silly, though Gillan was less than amused by it (I believe the quote was that he almost threw up).

Nice info, no wonder that was Ward's last studio date with Sabbath.
Unthrilled.......I like that, that's an excellent and very Brit description
    of Mother Ward's reaction.

I voted Yes. I can't help it, I was about 8 years old when I first heard the album and loved it. While I don't love it as much now, it still holds a special place in my heart. I need more SH mastered releases, so I'd grab this one.

Just to start discussion and for fun. Folks like polls, folks like talking.. Why not?

Are they unwanted? Should I stop? :(

Actually, I copped it from the Christian Slater flick, Pump Up the Volume, though the line was utterred by the blonde friend of Norah. I've found it a usefully droll term.

No. Maybe rephrase them, something like "Albums I'd like To See Remastered And Why". You'd probably get more discussion than just a....

Of course I'd buy it. The title track alone would pull me in, but overall, this is Sabbath's 11th studio album and it would be 11th on my list of albums from them I'd want to hear mastered by Steve.

A very strange period for the band, though not nearly as bizarre as what some of the classic 70s acts went through during the 80s. It was still rock and roll with an edge and didn't conform to very much.

And it is surely worth noting that Gillan sang his heart out on this one. This album was an amazing accomplishment for him, IMO. Especially given the medical concerns about his voice not long before this project.

Just my two cents - threads like that would likely get as many different albums listed as there are posters in the thread.

By limiting the selection to a single realistic LP release (let's face it, my desire to have some obscure prog band's stuff remastered on LP doesn't matter worth squat to those expecting an ROI), I think it makes it more interesting.

Who knows - maybe the OP will mention an album that hundreds of us will say we're interested in. Seems a bit more likely if there were any chance that someone would be checking here to determine what a good bet for a reissue would be, we'd stumble upon it this way.

    No, I meant like this:

Albums I'd like To See Remastered And Why: Black Sabbath, Born Again

Rather than the "would you buy -------------".
