I don't have it. I was talking about the track that @Tarot Man posted. However, I'm hoping to pick up a copy when I catch Green Lung in concert, in a few weeks time. EDIT: The CD is available from the band's website for £15 and it's a couple of quid cheaper if you don't mind helping to fund Jeff Bezos' Malibu beach house.
Halford doubling down & ratcheting up the intensity of Painkiller, no one would dare accuse him of going commercial with this one or the follow up.
I'm hopeful but I'll find out when I get there. Just edited my previous post to mention that it's available from both the band's webite (£15) and AmazonUK (£13).
Tim "Ripper" Owens joined forces with Yngwie Malmsteen on Perpetual Flame (2009) and Relentless (2010) The last time I saw Yngwie was on the Perpetual Flame tour with Tim on vocals.
I completely dismissed this at the time, refused to even give it a chance . TBF ‘Fight’ is a poor name for a band, but sure that’s hindsight. Scott Travis is a beast on this album!
I’ll bag it direct, cheers. Beelzeuseless is quoting some chronic time span before delivery. It really has become a waste of cyberspace for all but the very latest releases. The overwhelming majority of opuses are either n/a, not even listed or some unspecified reissue. When I contemplate the hosts of quality indie businesses who have fallen before this behemoth… Diabolical garbage.
Svart records has also a UK webstore where they say that the shipping costs are not an arm and a leg. That Green Lung disc is there for €14.
Schweet Jaysus, this is musical alchemy. These lads haven’t done much wrong to date, superb outfit, superb output.
I have a recording of a band I was in playing Nailed to the Gun live. Spot on the guitar solos they were but overall not as brawny as the Fight version.
I don't think either are great albums, hence my "best of" playlist I referred to. The mixes and masterings are pretty horrific IMO. If you want to check them out, I'd say start with Perpetual Flame and then move on to Relentless. From what I recall from interviews with Ripper, both were recorded at the same time. While imperfect, these are the last two Yngwie albums with a proper singer, so I have a soft spot for them.
totally agree and i think the album fits solid right in between the debut and Slave to the Grind. it sounds like an album that could have been released in between those two records.
Yngwie Malmsteen & Tim Owens Live To Fight Another Day Overture/Critical Mass Caprici di Diablo (instrumental) Priest of the Unholy Eleventh Hour Enemy Within Live To Fight (Another Day) Into Valhalla (instrumental) Caged Animal Knight of the Vasa Order (instrumental) Tide of Desire Cross To Bear (instrumental) Be Careful What You Wish For I have other playlists for Goran Edman, Mark Boals and Mike Vescera's eras.
Thanks. For me, it's a blur after Facing the Animal (which may be my favourite album of his). It could be fun as a personal project to put together a post-1997 "best of", because I always find his music entertaining to some extent. I just wonder if he will ever make it back, wherever he is now.
not sure what you mean. Fight was geared towards the groove metal boom of Pantera at the time. While Pantera can't be called commercial it was a gold/platinum selling band at the time and Fight copied that sound
