About as solid as a limp squid - what a completely washed up band they had become and lets be honest still are
Totally agree, the Crue sealed their fate with the first two albums of greatness. I still like later day Crüe of course.
Condition Critical Studio album by Quiet Riot Released July 27, 1984 Recorded 1984 Studio Pasha Music House, North Hollywood, California Genre Heavy metal hard rock glam metal[1] Length 44:02 Label Pasha Producer Spencer Proffer
Now there's a blast from the past. Used to have it but it disappeared in a house move so I probably haven't heard it in thirty-five years. From memory, it was a pretty good record though.
Oh, this is a shame. Erik was a great fit for Skid Row. Apart from the dodgy lyrics sometimes that last album was up there with their best. He's a hell of a singer and I hope he recovers his health. “Now… which leather pants to wear?!” Lzzy Hale of Halestorm will front Skid Row on tour, following the exit of singer Erik Grönwall
This is one I've grown to like more as the years have gone by...Dave's voice certainly is an acquired taste but man the guitar work on this is mind-blowing. I've told this before on the board, but I had a little part in the CD re-issue; originally they were not going to include the original mix of Rock Warriors. But since I had a contact at the studio where it was being remastered I got in touch and convinced them to add it as a bonus track. The real shame is that they didn't get Michael Wagener to remix the whole thing, as he said he would have done it for free.
Alive III Live album by Kiss Released May 18, 1993 Recorded November 27–29, 1992 Venue Cleveland, Detroit, and Market Square Arena, Indianapolis Genre Hard rock, heavy metal Length 66:53 Label Mercury Producer Kiss, Eddie Kramer
A solid album for it's era. I kind of forgot about it, my bad. Thanks for your comment, really interesting.
I agree with @JackOfAllTrades. The Gang's All Here is a terrific record. At least as good as anything else the band has put out, I reckon.
Yeah, I wouldn't put it anywhere close to those records. It's probably their best since the classic lineup split, but it doesn't even touch those albums for me.
Skid Row - lead singers over the years Matt Fallon: 1986-87 Sebastian Bach: 1987-1996 Johnny Solinger: 1999-2015 Tony Harnell: 2015 Zp Theart: 2016-2022 Erik Gronwall: 2022-24 Lizzy Hale: 2024 (Temp) ?? It's all monkey business to me.....
I hope Grönwall makes a full recovery. That’s a serious illness and completely understandable that he can’t tour or work right now.
Makes sense for Gronwall and the band too, but it's too bad because the gig I saw was terrific. And after difficult decades for the band at that...
After seeing the Priest a couple of weekends ago, I’ve been re-assessing the mighty Halfords solo work - what an absolute gem of an album this is!
Not got this because I dwell in the wrong land. Gats to order from Scandanavia whose benevolent pricing (including delivery) seems to indicate pity for Brit moshers suffering 'neath the yoke of Capaldire et al. KILL!
Yeah, Hailfjörd solus is spoon abusing fare; may treat myself to some impromptu imbibement this night. Good shout, as they say.
