    Actually, it tells me that this is one crazy forum. To be so Tull out of touch is a mad, mad, mad, mad world.

    The Monkees were a TV show about a fictional group, who fought with their creators to became a real group, who started to play on their own records (briefly)sometimes writing their own material. It could only have happened in the 60s.

    Yep! Let's face it. In the 70's my friends and most everybody else I know would be like, bubblegum crap and Tull? Age and who you are has a lot to do with this. I know I never smoked a joint and put on the TV show.{never have owned any Monkees music my one friend had 2 LPs}

    Why not Lawrence Welk vs. The Rollong Stones? Or Bing Crosby vs. Steppenwolf? Makes about as much sense as this poll.

    I see the Tull forum only has 582 members. Doesn't seem like a whole lot.

    582 Tull fans can't be wrong.

    It's June, it's sunny with a nice breeze... in this weather I much prefer the Monkees. Ask me on a cold fall evening and my answer would be different.

    Monkees were funnier. Jethro Tull, better musicians. Music-wise...it depends on what you like, right?

    I voted Monkees.

    Jethro Tull doesn't even have a leg to stand on.

    Plus, I heard Ian Anderson doesn't even know how to play the flute and the bassist had a sex change.
