I had to revise the track listing, since I forgot the song that started this whole thing, Carlisle Wheeling!

    SIDE 1
    Oh My My
    Down The Highway
    If You Have The Time
    I Love You Better
    Smile
    Carlisle Wheeling

    SIDE 2
    Steam Engine
    Love To Love
    You're So Good To Me
    Do You Feel It Too?
    Midnight Train
    Angel Band

    The sequencing is tough......

I was actually going to see if anyone was up for reinventing some other album covers... looks like it's already happened!

Since we're redesigning Monkees album covers, how about this one? I'm sure some of you saw this on Ebay. I can't possibly take credit for such a piece of artwork. Definitely not a photoshopped item here...

I like it, Sam:righton: but I'd get rid of that side 2 Davy-dominance and put St. Matthew where You're so Good to Me is.

Pretty sad that a guy has to auction off his Monkees records in order to buy some clothes.... :shh:

The forum members who haven't read this thread are going to be perplexed trying to figure out what minerwerks avatar is all about.

He also auctioned off a bunch of pirated and bootleg CDs to buy some clothes. He's been kicked off ebay.

Great work, guys! I love the alternate line-up to CHANGES too, even though it omits my favorite song from that record, "Ticket on a Fairy Ride". :(

Um......I think you mean "Ticket On A FERRY Ride".

The song YOU mentioned is a TOTALLY different sort of tune!

I think this might be the final "New" line up! Who wants to tackle the back cover in true Colgems fashion? (Don't forget the COLGEMS STEREO RECORDS blurb!)

As soon as the artwork exists, this is hitting a CDR faster than you can say FRODIS FOREVER!

I'm with you, Chip. This looks like it could be even the strongest post-Tork album...arguably.
I'm wondering though...would "Time and Time Again" be a better Jones song than almost any of the others there? I love that one.

Especially since it was originally intended to be on the album...

...as an aside...I wonder how it would have been mixed...whether the "Missing Links" or "Changes" CD version sound anything like the original almost-released mix...I like the 1994 "Changes" CD version a little better, it's cleaner and drier...a great Chadwick and/or Jones song.

THAT is excellent! Kudos to the person who assembled all those photos to mimic the original album. Only the title font is off, but I'll forgive 'em. ;)

Is the screengrab of Mike the best image available of him in his helmet?

It baffles the mind that a song as strong as Steam Engine was left in the can while they were putting out songs like 99 Pounds and Ladies Aid Society.

Actually Love to Love is the real oddball here. Isn't it from '66? The rest of the tracks are at least '68. I really love L2L more than If You Have The Time or Do You Feel it Too...so it's a hard decision which one to pull in favor of Time and Time Again. Still I think Sunset Sam's version is brilliant.
