If they play copy them straight away. They're prone to deterioration.

Definitely a mistake, if I may make so bold. I know this does have a bad rep in FZ fanhood, but give it a few plays and there's a some great stuff on here. The instrumentals Moggio and We Are Not Alone, for example. I like all the sprechstimme (sp?) stuff too, though admittedly its not to everyone's taste.

    Anyway. last five...
    5. The BQE - Sufjan Stevens
    4. Abnormally Attracted to Sin - Tori Amos
    3. Midwinter Graces - Tori Amos (almost passed on this, but its better than the above Tori)
    2. Let's Change the World With Music - Prefab Sprout
    1. Just Roll Tape - Stephen Stills

OK these are the last 5 CDs ordered or purchased since the thread is last 5 CDs. I guess I can't count the Record Store day vinyl.

    Leftfield - Leftism
Eagles - Long Road Out of Eden
    DJ Shadow - Endtroducing
Hall & Oates - Do What You Want, Be What You Are:The Music of Daryl Hall & John Oates
Hall & Oates - Legendary (Mistakenly ordered because I didn't read the thread here correctly :p)

Looking forward to that H&O "Do What You Want.." box set arriving, should be here in time for the weekend :)

  8. Interesting. I loved "Surprise".

Makes sense. I listened to the streaming version of most of these songs prior to release and liked them but didn't find myself going back to them again. I was a bit hesitant to pick it up based on that impression but it could be one of those albums that kind of seduces you when you least expect it as well.

Roxy Music - Siren - WG EG/Polygram pressing

Bryan Ferry - Boys & Girls WG EG/Polygram pressing

Fufilling my first edition fetish with the above - I started buying the Roxy/Ferry stuff when CDs first took off, then traded the first editions for the most recent remasters in the late 90's (when I was broke) - and then I found this forum! (d'oh)

Also Replaced several Ferry cds I noticed I was missing since the storage break-in several years ago, with whatever decent condition stuff I could find cheap on Amazon.

My next purchase will be the new Cars album....

  18. The Bird & The Bee - Hall & Oates Tribute (fun)
Paul Simon - So Beautiful or So What (wow, one of his best!)
Tony Williams - Joy of Flying (the Ronnie Montrose cut smokes)
Hiromi with Anthony Jackson & Simon Phillips - Voice (good, as always, and Phillips is phenomenal)
John Zorn - Interzone (wilder than his "Dreamers" stuff but less noisy than Naked City)
