Instead of clicking Action>Test Selected Tracks, you can simply hit F8 after all tracks have been selected.

With regard to how to present all the data/variations, here's what we came up with for the original Genesis CDs (not wishing to blow my own horn, I'm simply the editor for the thread, and rely on the help of the Forum to put it all together):

If you generate enough data (we started the above thread AFTER several other long discussion threads), you may want to use a post per album, rather than post them all each time (that also avoids repeating lots of information that may not have changed).

I just received the WG version of "The Kick Inside". I decided to create a table for better overview. I would be interested to hear what people who have heard all three versions consider the best sounding mastering for this album. I only have the UK and the WG, and I haven't done any detailed comparison yet.

 

I have this CD also and get 45.5% for the last track as the peak level. I suppose this was a typo, since 94.5% seems really high for that last track (compared to all the other masterings).

Sounds horribly bright. Avoid.

 

I only have the two versions (WG and UK). I have not heard the early Japanese versions (blue column) nor the Japanese mini-LP (pink/purple).

Between the WG and the UK, there is not a huge difference, but there is one. I haven't done enough listening to decide which one I like better.

 

So how many different masterings are there of the sublime "The Dreaming?"

I recently scored a copy of the This Woman's Work box and have been revisiting a collection I last explored over a decade ago. Boy, some of this stuff is a joy. Since the last time Lionheart and I spent time together my system has improved greatly and I'm enjoying this album (and the others) more than I ever did. Simply wondrous.

So, my question: are there any pressings from this set (mainly UK-made I think), that you'd like some info on? Happy to post logs.
