Tragically overlooked record. I don't understand how this wasn't a big hit.

    Did someone say Beatles?

When these sings were current I never gave a thought to whether the singers were black or white.

Yes the obsession with race seems needless.

My favorite tune of theirs is buried on Side B. For those who like moody girl Northern Soul kind of sounds, check it out:

I love the drumming on this. The kit sounds very nice and TIGHT. Great punch on the snare and bass drum.
The drummer's feel is very 'tight' too. My favorite aspect of this record.

I forgot to add the following: I love this Song and it also provides something you never wanted to hear back then…

“My boyfriend's back and you're gonna be in trouble”.

True. Then Lesley sang You Don’t Own Me. And The Honey’s reminded us that Girls Are Vicious. A later generation might say Sisters Are Doing it for Themselves.

I thought the line is "my boyfriend's back and there's gonna be trouble".

At any rate, I'll for sure be at the lunchroom at 11:30 to watch this thing go down. Kinda big and awful strong is an understatement! This is gonna be good:)
