Suede (a.k.a. London Suede) 2 CD/1 DVD reissues on the way

The ones where I've compared the original UK Nude CDs and the remasters (Coming Up and Head Music), it's the old Nude CDs hands down. On my system the remasters are almost unlistenably shrill. A classic case of needing to turn it *down* after like 3 minutes.

Thanks Geoff. I've always wanted to see a waveform of the Coming Up remaster compared to its 1996 counterpart. Your term of "shrill" is hardly surprising since a lot of people have mentioned these reissues are quite jacked up in the treble region. Some have said that the remastering is just exhibiting the flaws in Suede's recordings, but it sounds more like your typical spiced up 2011 "digital remaster" to me. If Brett and Bernard managed to get the sound right, this could have been one of the best reissuing projects ever...apart from the various track edits, of course.
