One cool thing could be having a cover replica of the original Uk gatefold cover without the spaceship on the front cover. Originals without the ship are expensive ($$$$) and it can be interesting for record collectors

    I never knew that!

It's up to Analogue Productions if they recreate the booklet, isn't it? And, in my opinion, that depends on how much money they have to sink into this project and still realize a return on their investment.

Heck, I'd be happy with a single sleeve release! To me, just give me the music. I can stare at my Canadian release for the non music stuff.

The above are my personal observations and comments. :)

Can't believe I'm saying this, but, for the bass playing alone and how good it may sound on this release, I shall buy it. Hey - my turntable died and I haven't even been able to enjoy the recent PIL "Metal Box" lp reissue I bought! Soon, though....

Hey, what's the deal with this?

Effective Immediately: Acoustic Sounds will require a $50 minimum order for non-domestic customers including those in Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Mexico.

I hope there are more Yes albums done by you, Steve. :righton:
Maybe a AF Gold CD, too...? ;)

    Steve,
Would you be willing to give us a little bit of the details as to why you did a recut? Did you change the mastering or did Kevin want or need to change the groove spacing, etc?

    Thank you.

Rhino (Warner), who cotrols the Yes catalog now, just released a remastered CD version. A new CD remaster would be competition whereas LPs are a much, much smaller market no matter what Michael Fremmer says. :D

This policy has been in place for awhile now.

As with all other Analogue Productions releases it will likely be available from other sources (Music Direct, Elusive Disc etc.. probably Tom Port too).

Chances are they won't have the same restrictions.

What about an AF Gold CD, limited release, priced at $25, without any bonus tracks?

You guys know that it's FAR more complicated than that. These audiophile labels are dealing with major labels, and the only way their going to do anything is if they make money and don't compete with their own products.

How long will it (usually) take for AP releases to be available elsewhere after Acousticsounds has them in stock?

What about a niche market SACD?

Usually other outlets get the product within a week or so. AP wants to sell units and will gladly ship to all other outlets.

That's why Marshall went back to gold discs... the labels wouldn't license SACD. :(

It's slim pickins for audiophile labels these days.
