I received my Hendrix Lps today. Only AYE was slightly damaged on the bottom left hand corner of the spine. I'm thinking since the shipping box was undamaged that this was done during the packing phase (a oops kind of thing).

Me too, I love Johnny Cash - at least a DVD is less likely to get trashed like vinyl!

 

Sorry to hear abut the recent string of damaged Hendrix LPs, .

Hopefully it won't detract from the overall enjoyment and listening experiecne.

 

Per my Amazonian records, I paid $29.99 back in 2007.

I just opened my copy of AYE. The record is beautiful and flat and centered, Sterling pressed and super clean and flat. I'm impressed with side 1 so far. Loving it. I wish all newly pressed records came this way.

 

No it didn't. I've listened to AYE and AXIS last night and they are great. Nice inner sleeves and booklets too. Awesome flat and quiet vinyl too!

 

They eventually fixed it, so I got it for $17.99. I also picked up the Clash set for $22.49.

I ordered this on 8/5. I couldn't wait for a sale to show up, I just had to have it. I need this like a hole in the head - I have every one of these albums on CD, except of course John Denver Sings, which is almost worth the price of the set to me. Besides, this looks like very nice packaging. I hope I'm not disappointed. I'm also anxious to see what masterings these are. The last reissues they did with Vic A. re-masterings were very good. Hopefully these will sound good...

Will it be MILES DAVIS QUINTET - Live In Europe 1967 - The Bootleg Series Vol.1 (3CD / 1DVD)? (currently selling for $42.99)

 

I doubt it. This isn't due to be released until September 20. I'm guessing either the KOB or Bitches Brew Super Deluxe sets again? Or maybe the Complete Plugged Nickel that is turning up as sold out again?
