Glad I got all the old MFSL gold cd's

I was really hoping Hold Your Fire would be remastered. I wonder what condition that tape is in?

Well in a previous e-mail Michael said that the band was more interested in releasing their "classic" catalogue than the later stuff. I would for sure buy A Farewell to Kings, Hemispheres, or Grace Under Pressure if they did them.

I could go for those as well!

Farwell to Kings, it has been a long time since I listened to that one. I would also like to hear the 1st one and Fly by Night redone as well. Maybe even Caress of Steele!

Like....? The only think I could think of that might fit that description would be Plangent processing to remove tape wow and flutter.

The album is only from 1987 and it was remastered in the late 90's. I can not imagine it selling enough units for it to be done yet again. Also wasn't it recorded digitally?

Yeah, the first two or three should be old enough not to have tape issues.

I still get depressed by this once in a while.

I still don't understand why MOFI didn't release Permanent Waves as a hybrid SACD.

    Probably a license agreement.

Yep. Each layer has to have a separate licensing agreement according to what I've read in other threads on here.
