    My meager system:
From the sweet spot, Sonus Faber Grand Piano Homes with a SF Solo on top of the 14 year old analog only Zenith TV.
The panels in the background are home made 4 inch rigid fiberglass. You should have seen my wife laugh when she came home to see me sitting at the sewing machine making the covers. :shh:

The second picture is our compromise equipment rack.
On top is an MMF-7 with Shure V15VxMR and a newly acquired VAC PA100/100.
Under the VAC is a Creek OBH-8SE Phono stage which is sitting on top of a Denon DVD-3910.
    Next is the Anthem AVM-20,
And last is an Anthem PVA-5 of which I'm only using 1 channel at the moment.
The rear speakers have been taken down.

Ok, if you all promise not to get jealous, I'll put up a pic. ;)

The 'table is the hip Acoustic Research classic from the 80s. I have the late, great Sure V15VxMR on it.

    A NAD C-521
A Marantz something or another. It was my Dad's, he bought it brand new in 1980 and it still sounds great. I had a vintage Fisher tube integrated that I loved but I couldn't keep it running reliably.

Lower down is a Sony MD deck (LOVE IT!) and below that is an RCA brand CD burner.

The speakers are the lovely and underrated Tannoy Mx3. Sweet mids.

Way over to the left is my "home theater". Cobbled together from thrift store and hand-me-downs. KLH brand speakers, a Realistic receiver and an early Apex DVD player that still works surprisingly well after 4 years.

In back at left, you can see doors. They're built in cabinets for towels and such, but it turns out they're super strong and can fit oodles of LPs just perfectly. That's what's in 'em. :righton:

Hope you enjoyed the tour of my humble listening/living room.

The rest of the pics. Everything is on oak stands that are made by a friend of mine from oak beams that had been lying by the docks in Gibraltar since the times when Nelson's ships etc used to come in for repairs. the tiny pic is Eric Dolphy!

Thanks. I really like it, especially after I had such bad luck with a new audiophile approved "budget" turntable. The QC was simply horrible. This old AR is built to last, and it sounds really sweet and warm to me. I'd like to put in a motor upgrade someday, along with a new Rega arm. Until then, I'm still happy.

The old AR-XB looks really cool too. The simplicity of those designs give them their elegance.

How do you like the Aphex 109? I just got one off eBay for my Denon. I chose this model for Aphex reputation for quality and I know the tubes are upgradeable on this model.

Nice speakers, Randy. I have the Twin Mk III on three-post Sound Anchor stands in my bedroom system. It looks like you have the 4-post stands - the best ones.

OK, Tom, here's mine. First up is the main system in my living room (see profile) followed by a more detailed photo, and then finally my "vintage" Quad system. As you can probably guess, I'm a fan of surround sound, but never use the surround processors to listen to a stereo recording as I usually don't like the results. BTW, you guys have some really nice stuff.

Cool vintage Quad gear Joe. Are you able to play those RCA QuadraDisk LPs (is that what they were called?)? I heard that the cartridges used to play those back are nearly impossible to find these days.

Here's a closeup of my quad which I use with a Stanton Turntable and a Pioneer DV-655a
The Sansui has two BBE 462 Sonic Maximizers patched in the tape loop

Sadly I have to part with the QRX-9001. It's got cold solder joint issues and channels are cutting out. It would cost a lot to rebuild so I'm looking for a Sansui QSD decoder or if I'm lucky a Fosgate Tate II.
