Did you deliberately mount the duplex outlets horizontally? Reason?

Is that a 6120 I see leaning against the wall?

it is! good spot. A beautiful guitar, although I'm a thin wild mercury nut more than a warm round tone man. So the Tele gets a lot more action than the Gretsch!

Nah, all you need is a seperate 20A (or isn't the 220v a 13A circuit over there?) for the power amps and one for the low level components. Grab an RSA Duke for your monoblocks and leave the Dmitri where it is on the ART and the 555.

You might even be able to sneak that past your landlord with no one knowing...

TONEPUB, how does Clear sound vs. Golden Reference? I love Cardas cabling/chassis wire. I have all GR cabling right now.

The Cardas Clear is interesting cable, that's for sure. Good to hear it sounds good, but man, the price!

No, what i meant was something to plug the power cords from the mono blocks into (sure a wall plug under that window a twofer would be the best solution? ; but if you want to benefit from the RSA power cleaner what about a line with a seperate plug..
Whatever makes you happy. just my 2 cents....

Horizontal outlets attenuate annoying resonances in the mids.

More resolution at the top and bottom without losing the midrange magic you've got in the GR. I had GR before as well....

Thanks, nothing yet. I hope to have it gone over next year, fingers crossed. It's in great shape but, at 50+ years old, needs some love. It's been in the family since new.

Here is a old GE console we picked that I am converting to hold my Vintage McIntosh system. The MC-30's will go in the speaker sections once the grilles are removed and the MX-110, CDP, and music server on top. My first record play will be Casino Royale. : )

I just replaced my 65" rear projection Mitsu with a 100" screen and Epson projector. Here's a look at the Colts game this afternoon-- more images soon...
