    wow... :goodie:

That is a neat system, best looking digital I´ve ever seen, and probably heard too if I had ever heard a super system like that. Love those Wilson speakers too, the idea of a Wilson stand-mount is just too cool.

Congratz on a great system Claus! Enjoy!

  3. Art K, beautiful set up and beautiful speakers!

    Art,

Could you describe the sound of the Ultimatum MF7's?

And is that the Red Velvet Cloud finish on them?

    Thank you.

All - Thanks for all the comments on my system.

Cindy Loo, think your question is for me on the MF7's!

They are wonderful full sounding speakers with great bass and very sweet mids and trebles - a complete sound and they work really well on the end of Naim gear with a great synergy. I find them very warm and they really do the PRAT of Naim well (pace, rhythm and timing).

The speakers are easy to listen to, never get fatiguing. I have had them in 3 different rooms now and they seem to be very flexible as to room and placement. The amp driving them has some grunt but they are not too difficult to drive either.

You are correct, these are Red Velvet Cloud and there are not too many of them around. You would need to spend some serious money to better these speakers as far as I am concerned. Current retail for these in this finish is £10k+.

Here is a better picture of them I took a few years ago that shows off the finish better.

    Cheers

Gotta agree with Claus on the dCS sound.. It's been the only thing I've ever heard that exceeds the performance of my Naim 555.

Nice. I was amazed by the detail and musicality of the dcs gear I heard in Denver.

It's not like the 555 is chopped liver by any means. And I still have an HDX/PS555 in the other system, so my love for the brand is still intact!!

yes, the isolation should be perfect..... Finite Elemente Master Reference rack, Symposium Acoustics platforms and Stillpoints dampers.

By the way... dCS uses Stillpoints racks

I have some nice speakers but your questions go to Lontano with the Neat speakers.

  13. Sorry about the confusion. I got the usernames mixed up.

Thank you for your detailed response, Lontano.

    Beautiful speakers!

Extremely nice looking system. Is that the speaker cable running around the front of the speaker? If so, is there a particular reason for doing so?
    Thanks

  16. ... now I have to go out and listen to one. :sigh:;)

I have not the space behind the stands, also the fat power cable is too close.

I will set up a new turntable system, when I move....
