  1. Hi 5-String. That's a Sansui 8080 receiver on the top shelf; I have a bunch of the vintage receivers from the Sansui x0x0 series.

I don't know much about European electronics, but I can attest with 100% certainty that European girls work for me! :D

Gorgeous set. The Rowen Pre amps and Dr. Thomas Musical Fidelity Mono Blocks are excellent - got any link or info on these by chance ?

  8. That's either an AppleTV or Front Row--or if it isn't, it's a total look alike.

    I thought so!
I have the same receiver. It's built like a tank and sounds outstanding.

    Hallo Herr Baron:
I didn't find any information about the dr. thomas power amps (they must be more than 25 years old ......).
but the rowen stuff is brand new (well ... 2 years old now already .....swiss made): here's the link (german or french only):

I'm currently running an all analogue setup and this combination is comparable to an all out $20,000 tube system for one third the cost but gives up a little in the bass regions.
Like apples and oranges though... depends on the sound you're after.

How about Dartzeel (Hervé Delétraz) in Geneva or Vacuum State Electronics (Allen Wright) in Schaffhausen?

  21. Intellivision Auto Racing rocks! Have you found the "secret passageways" off the road and through the trees into the woods? You can find a mansion with a swimming pool (or lake), an airstrip, and a hairpin curve section of road leading to nowhere, among other things.

Just what is your "Quad-Box," by the way?
