Are they doing one for Animals?

Doesn't look like it. Go to Amazon...type in Pink Floyd under music, choose release date order...then see all for yourself...pretty interesting.

Steven Wilson is waiting a YEAR after releases now, to give us the vinyl versions, so...

Personally, I'm not interested in live material from the same era as the albums. They should release this stuff seperately, for example in a live box set.

I'd rather prefer a Deluxe set of the studio albums, with bonus material strictly related to the studio sessions, and a Blu-ray with hi-rez multichannel (and stereo of course) sound.

  11. in case of Floyd, the live shows were works in progress leading up to

or working out what would be in an album

  12. Definitely excited, but I'll hold off on ordering until more info and some listening/engineering reviews start to show up.

That's a good chunk of change...... (got a hunch I'll end up getting them anyway :shake:)

    :D

There's a track listed as "Us and Them" Richard Wright demo, so I'm sure that's what it is.

There's no need for buying it.
But what I am hoping for is inclusion of 1980 Earl's Court video of The Wall.

I'm thrilled to be getting any additional live material from this era and as someone else pointed out, these concerts should shed light on the development of the studio material. I would also love to see more archival live releases from the '68-'72 period, including an official release of the BBC sessions.

I'm also excited about the hi-rez mixes for these. Is this the mystery project that Steve Wilson has been hinting at lately? If so, this music will be in good hands.

Of course there isn't, but I hate how new generations of Floyd fans are going to think that's all there is to it. The "Echoes: Best of Pink Floyd" compilation was a good round-up and sold a lot, too, but with this they're just purposely trying to capitalize by using the same tracks from the same overplayed material.

There is good to be had in this, though, with the bonus material they're issuing. I just hope they do "experience" and "immersion" editions of their other albums, too.

I just pre-ordered everything except for The Wall. Here's hoping there will be an "Immersion" version of that one. Hey, that rhymes! :D

Now I eagerly await these releases to be delayed seven times.

I also pre-ordered the Discovery box.

So I guess the two-track Wish You Were Here CDs are worth $5 now? :D

They are up on Amazon UK as well, listed as EMI rather than Capitol, same thing I guess. They seem to be, as usual, much more expensive in the UK, roughly the same in pounds as dollars (£93 compared to $101, so like $140 for us).
