Because I am a JAMC fan and this record is their worse by far in my opinion and i dont like it .
What's the point of such thread giving 5/5 to every song and no critics , boring

Fair. Was joking. I loved the first 3 albums and b sides. Don’t even know anything past that. But I bopped around to Automatic. But also. I’m a total dork. Wasn’t the cool kid who was dark and into the debut at the smoking wall.

I haven't used up my 5/5's. Far from it...

I don't think I've given an album track less than 3/5 yet and there's not many of those. I was playing Psychocandy earlier and I think I gave Inside Me and Sowing Seeds 3/5. I'd give them more now. They're both great.

Please please don’t tell me you were a music critic for the Village Voice, Paste or Pitchfork.

    You need Honey's Dead!

I think I was cooler than I thought back then. I was always anxious and awkward but people who knew me then say I was pretty cool. Wish they'd told me at the time!

I gave several 2/3s to the debut and barbed wire. I thought those two collections were amazing. But some weak tracks to.

Side note. I had the John Moore and the Expressway debut. He was the drummer of JAMC at some point. It’s similar to automatic. Out of control was a good track.

I definitely did for some Barbed Wire Kisses tracks, even a couple of lower marks. I get the impression that's not going to hold up as well for me as it did back in the day.

    Thanks! :righton:

You'll end up hearing it all anyway through here but I don't want to jump ahead. We'll be getting to albums I don't know eventually.

Cool. But I also believe we’ve engaged in Ride, Stone Roses, Morrissey and Oasis discussions too.

    The bands

    Tarantula (shudder!)
    All For One (eurrrghh!)
Everything by Oasis apart from some singles after Be Here Now (I quite like BHN)
Everything about Morrissey since the mid 2000's.

As far as I'm aware JAMC don't have a bad record.

Well that I agree with. The trend is I love the first 2/ 3 albums.
    Ride 2
Oasis 3 BHN is my completely favorite oasis record. It’s bonkers. And at the time I loved it. And I still do (removing magic pie and adding stay young)
    Stone roses 1
    Charlatans 2
    Morrissey 4-5
    Smiths all
    JAMC 3-4
    Mission Uk 2
    The cult 3

Be Here Now is so ridiculously over the top in every way I can't help but like it even if it does make me laugh. I'd take it above Morning Glory anytime.

I liked Up To Our Hips from The Charlatans a lot. Between 10th & 11th is superb. Never understood why that flopped.

I listened to Automatic and Honey’s Dead today for the first time in years. Some fantastic songs on both, but that bloody “Chapterhouse” drum beat is soooooo irritating. Exactly the same on nearly every song. anyway this song is a brilliant song, I was surprised at how good.

At least it wasn't a cliché when Automatic was released.

    I'm a 90's indie kid. I can't say I mind a bit of 'baggy' drumming!
