New Rush Album - Snakes and Arrows *

    I love the music. It's one of their strongest albums ever. And while the mastering isn't too bad by some of today's "standards" I find listening to the whole CD fatiguing. Everything is at the same volume--make everything louder than everything else? I've wondered how the vinyl compares. Better yet, I'd love to see our host take this album on and release an Audio Fidelity version. Now that would ROCK!

    I think it's a mediocre album, fitting somewhere in the lower half of their catalogue. Vapor Trails was FAR better, production quality aside. I really hope they try something new on the next album, I was left with a distinct "this has been done before" feeling after S&A.

    That's exactly how I felt when Test For Echo followed Counterparts. "...and better" I would also add.

    But I can't say the same for S&A. I usually rotate the CDs out of my car, but S&A has been a constant traveling companion since 2007. I think it's the best thing they've done.
