Those are some great titles that I spent years and much $$$ tracking down the best versions. I am so happy and can't wait to get my hands on them.
    Thanks Chad/Steve!

Not really a back problem but in that tricky, painful lower back area. Sigh. Thanks, though; I'll get through it...

Well, this may belong in its own thread, but good luck on the back surgery, Steve. Having had my tonsils removed earlier this year, I empathize and sympathize.

Steve, I am glad that someone, somewhere has thought about us the vinyl impared and done so correctly on two counts:

    a) Releasing these as hybrid SACDs

    b) Having you and Kevin master them.

    :)

Regarding your back, I suppose you have already gone over all the options. I say this because I'd be wary about going through a back-related operation. Some months ago I had some lower back problems as a result of doing a exercise/move wrong. I ended up going to the doctor and undergoing rehabiliation and shortwave therapy. (I also read a lot about back problems and surgery generally seems to be a last resort). Needless to say, the advice I received from the physiotherapist has been invaluable. She shared with me what has become a veritable back owner/user's manual, which I now follow everyday.

    DSD conversion / mastering chain?

    Hi Steve,

there certainly aren't that many to chose from, any info as to choice of A/D which will be employed for transfers? (which also sorta includes the question, DSD or DXD?)

Will you be mastering for both DSD and redbook layers?

If yes on mastering for DSD, what environment(s)do you forsee using (Sonoma, SADiE, pyramix...)?

Any particular personal favorite dither for creation of redbook audio?

just being curious 5.6448 million times / sec ;)

    Great news!

Is that a series of only 25 SACD titles, or more???

Does AS have an exclusive to retail these?

Why does their pre-order page apprear to show different prices for the same 'hybrid SACD' titles?

I would be happy to get an SH mastered SACD to complement the 'black triangle' Blue Train I seriously overspent for back in the early days of digital. Likewise, I'd also pick up copies of Go and Jackie's Bag.

Although it probably won't happen, what the SACD affords that the 45 RPM doesn't is the opportunity to cut some of those titles with longer compositions that wouldn't fit on a side, like Conquistador or Unit Structures.

Let me know when there's actually something available to put in my disc player.

Now if we could just get Chad/AP to license all The Beatles LP's in 33 1/2, 45rpm & Hybrid SACD in both Mono & Stereo. Then we'd be set. :agree: Kudos to Chad for putting the money on the line to license this stuff. :righton:

Steve: Has there been any talk of releasing the 64 Music Matters titles in SACD.

I don't know, I hope they don't. They have perfection right now, why mess with it? Albums of a lifetime.

  24. and the sonic perfection is GREAT ....Horace Parlan's two are just out-of-this-world.

perfection in TWO formats, well, that's just yummie

    Honest Answer!

Why they should shoot digital Torpedos in a full analogue Ship?
I have their Vinyls and also like SACD but this makes no sense to MM´s Project-Philosophy.
