I hope that many of the recent WB vinyl titles will find their way to an AF digital release (Sweet Baby James, etc.).....

From what I can tell using hdcd tool, AF cds used hdcd model two a/d converter, but do not have peak extension and other hdcd features engaged which need hdcd decoder to sound best. AF cds sound same whether using hdcd converter or not.

R.E.M. Automatic For the People would be nice with the SH touch!

Phish - definitely "Junta" and/or "Story of the Ghost". None of their other albums particularly strike my fancy (and I am a big fan).

Radiohead would obviously sell well, and a few of their albums could use a better mastering treatment.

...and is there any chance of other tillrs prviously done by DCC? Many people missed out the first time around and would love to get a second crack at the Nat King Cole's and others without having to get a second or third mortgage.

Unless I missed it this hasn't been answered yet:

Will the Band CD contain the bonus tracks that are on the current CD, or just the original album tracks?

  9. I'm pretty sure I know the answer but . . . since you're dealing with EMI/Capitol is there any chance whatsoever of getting your hands on the collected works of that beat group from Liverpool that we love to talk about here?

What are some '90s rock titles that interest you and Marshall Blonstein?

    Phish doesn't interest me...

I've always thought it sounded pretty good the way it is.

Any chance of the Pet Sounds being SACD rather than 24 Karat Gold?

    Thanks, Ben

Hüsker Dü would be excellent, but my guess is there's no chance in hell. The acrimony between Mould and Hart is so severe it has prevented them from getting together and taking action to extricate the catalog from SST. That's the reason their stuff has never been reissued. Each side portrays the other as being pretty intractable.

Steve, any interest in Art Garfunkel's Breakaway?

(for anyone who doesn't know, this was going to be done by MFSL years ago, before they closed under the old owner).

I suggested Live - Throwing Copper in the old DCC forum. And Queenryche - Operation: Mindcrime.

Since several of us have lapsed into 'Never in a million years' land......I'd like to get a mono 'Bookends'. Sigh. And now, back to reality.

    Steve,

I know there is no chance of AF doing The Beatles, but what about some selected solo efforts? My wish list:

    All Things Must Pass
    John Lennon/POB
Ringo(again for those who can't afford/find the DCC)
    Wings' Greatest

    No interest in Phish either.

But McCartney's "Run Devil Run", Aerosmith's "Honkin' On Bobo", and the Gin Blossoms "New Miserable Experience" are 90's albums that would be great all uncompressed and EQ'd so that I can turn them up without killing my cat!

    No interest in Phish....

There are other releases that would be much more interesting as recordings....

Would rather say something like Talk Talk's "Laughing Stock" LP (um Uni again though) be tackled...

And while I'm at it, Ringo's "Vertical Man". Great album - horrible mastering.
