Giants Of Jazz Live Album live 1971 in Europe Dizzy & Monk atm.
I never heard an album I did not like. His Solo Piano stuff is usually esp. enjoyable.

Love all the Riverside stuff, mainly the two Five Spot records with Johnny Griffin, but my favorite live Monk is the It Club show on Columbia with the classic quartet. That absolutely smokes.

A very underrated Monk record is Clark Terry's In Orbit. Great band, and everyone is in fine form.

One of my favorites too, I was bummed that it didn't make the cut for the Fantasy 45 rpm Acoustic Sounds series.

Especially the quartet/quintet sessions out of the 45 RPM AP series fascinate me until today...some of the very best records available. If they‘d get robbed I’d have to ask Steve to sell me his ;-)

Straight No Chaser. As happens in many cases with me the album that first introduced me to an artist's music tends to be my favorite.

Is there a really good sounding version of this on LP that’s fairly readily available?

    My favorite Monk album?

I have always been a Monk's Music man, but I must say that Brilliant Corners is growing on me...even despite the somewhat pretentious title.
