    I would say early Yes I used to love to listen to their music with headphones on. Still do actually but back then it was awesome.

    Heck, ALL of LZ II is made for Headphones....

    And that is.... how I first heard my (RL) LZ II LP in October of 1969 ! ! :righton:

    It was Astounding !!!!

    It works well on Loudspeakers too....

    I mainly listen with headphones. Some of my favorites are-
    Most of Agents of Fortune by Blue Oyster Cult.
    Blind Faith
    Axis: Bold as Love and Electric Ladyland by Hendrix.

    While not made for headphone listening, I like them best that way.

    I remember the LP sounding fantastic. I don't think the CD is close. How do you see it ??

    APOSTROPHE by Frank Zappa - blew my 15 year old mind in 1981 and still sounds good through headphones, even without the bong hits.

    Well, both for me. It's the whole experience of the production and performance, the ebb and flow of the music along with the stereo mix.

    I can't find it in a search, but I recall a Suzanne Vega album was mixed with headphones instead of monitors.
