Release date was originally listed as March 27th.
Now it's the 20th with Amazon UK shipping on the 19th.
Pre-Ordered all but DOTFP. Just not my cup of tea.
I should buy it on principle alone though.
Amazon UK pre-order prices are better the CD Universe and of course
anyone's price is better than Music Direct :)

To me this is outstanding news and a huge thank you to Justin Hayward.
I don't have any of the CDs and haven't listened to the vinyl in ages.
First concert I saw. Last tour Mike Pinder played. Cost me $5.00.
Talking Heads and now The Moody Blues.
Not bad. Not bad at all.

I just ordered them all from CD Universe as follows:

    DOFP $24.15
    ISOTLC $24.15
    ONTOAD $16.85
    TOCCC $24.15

    Total $106.15
    Shipping $ 6.99
    Grand Total $ 113.14

I'm glad I've been working a lot of overtime lately!

Sorry if this has been asked. Why the discrepancy in prices?

I'd buy Days if it was $16

If you look at the track listings in post #96 you'll see that QOB and ONTOAD have the shortest track lists. I am guessing that they may only be 1 disc rather than 2.

I ordered them all from Amazon.co.uk and at today's exchange rates, with shipping my order comes to approx $111.03.

I guess it is a tossup between CDuniverse.com or Amazon.co.uk - I will stick with Amazon.co.uk since these are european issue and I might believe that Amazon.co.uk will ship them before CDUniverse does.

I'm glad they dropped their prices - I wasn't going to order the CDs from them for $35.00, but now I am. They ship from Connecticut and I usually get my CDs the next day. :)

I figured that with the "currency exchange" charge I always see on my credit card statement when I purchase from the UK that the CD Universe price would be cheaper. Of course, the exchange rate could change in the next month as well. Either way, at least we are only talking about a few dollars.

The fuller desriptions (on MusicTap) show that these will be new remasters by Justin Hayward. I just ordered from Amazon.UK and the price with Air Mail came to $111. I think if they came out domestically they would go for $130 at Tower.

CD-WOW usually has the best prices on imports, but they are not on their site yet. I will wait a bit and then go for the cd universe site if they do not show up on CD-WOW.

I'm afraid CD-Wow might not be having them. They usually sell only few SACDs, atm they have only ten or so different SACDs in stock.

    From http://www.moodies-magazine.com/moody_news.htm

New Moodies SACDs in hand here at H&H! We received advance copies today of the first five releases of UMG's retooling of the Moodies' "Classic 7" reissue/expansion project. The amount of previously unreleased and remixed material is a mind blower. Here's an example of the second disc track listing for In Search of the Lost Chord:
    01: Departure -- Alternate Mix (0:55)*
02: The Best Way to Travel -- Additional Vocal Mix (4:03)*
    03: Legend of a Mind -- Alternate Mix (6:43)*
04: Visions of Paradise -- Sitar Mix (4:30)*
    05 : What Am I Doing Here? -- Alternate Mix (3:53)*
    06: The Word -- Mellotron Mix (1:01)*
    07: Om -- Full Version (6:07)*
08: Simple Game -- Justin Hayward Vocal Mix (3:26)*
    09: King and Queen (3:53)
    10: Dr. Livingston, I Presume -- BBC Top Gear Session 16/7/68 (2:57)*
11: Voices in the Sky -- BBC Top Gear Session 16/7/68 (3:52)*
12: Thinking is the Best Way to Travel -- BBC Top Gear Session 16/7/68 (3:38)*
    13: Ride My See-Saw -- BBC Top Gear Session 16/7/68 (3:49)*
14: Tuesday Afternoon -- BBC Afternoon Pop Show 7/10/68 (3:23)*
    15. Simple Game -- Single Version (3:44)
We'll be adding more track listings in the coming days as time permits. We'll also be publishing reviews here on the H&H website within the next week to 10 days. Special thanks to UMG for providing us with copies of this wonderful project.

I'd like to know this myself!

If the SACD includes the original stereo mix in its entirety, I'll snap it up pronto. Otherwise, forget it.

DOFP release date has been pushed back again. Now it's a week later, in April.

I just thought I got a shipping notice on these from Amazon UK, but it was for the Billy Bragg box I ordered at the same time.

I just got one from Amazon UK saying that Days of Future passed has been delayed. It did not mention the others which I also ordered. I guess they will come out eventually :(

Has anyone heard an advance copy of the DOFP SACD? I was very underwhelmed by the DTS release of this album, and I'm praying that the SACD is a big improvement. I really want to love these SACDs, but I'm gun-shy based on that DTS disc.

I wasn't all that offended by the DTS disc. I think even Jon (Oblio98) said the Q4 tape sounded just like it. The surround mix "makes sense" to me. Especially Nights/Satin...

I'll have to give the DTS another listen. I still prefer the original Decca stereo LP mix to the current stereo CD mix, or the old quad mix. I was hoping they'd change the balance from the Quad/DTS mix on the SACDs, although I realize there are limitations with what can be done with remixing DOFP (sigh.)

These continual delays on the Moody SACD releases are bumming me out! If the Moody SACDs and the Beatles Cap Vol 2 box end up coming out on the same day, then Tuesday, April 11th is going to be one laaaaaaate night of music listening.

Do I hear April 17? 24? This is getting pretty frustrating! Why can't they pick a date that's firm instead of these last minute bumps?
