Yeah, 1978 is the date I've always been told. Of course, that could just be when it was finally released.

    My Copy kinda supports this.

Its the original mix on nice thick vinyl like my 1st press Question of Balance,
    it has -4W matrices,
Orange lettering on white background DSS labels,
Clarifoil Laminated Cover unbanded at the top
The innner sleeve has the date 3/77 printed at the bottom.

So I would guess this copy dates from sometime after 3/77 but still has the original mix.
However it does sounds like its made from a worn tape. High frequencies seem to drop out here and there.

    Cheers

    JJ

However, I think that the remix hit the US first.

  4. I have the original UK DSS Derem, US derem(also US Quad reel tape), Mo-Fi, German DSS Derem and Speaker's Corner. To me, UK DSS Derem(early large label with groove, 1w/1w pressing) is the best, but Speaker's corner is not far behind.

    Here's Tom Port's review on Speaker's Corner pressing: http://www.dccblowout.com/product.asp?pf_id=24550&dept_id=

Speaker's Corner's LP is the best REMIX LP out there, but the UK DSS rules for original mix.
