Gets me imagining him hooking up with someone like James Lee Stanley ala "Two Man Band." But I wonder if with Michael, would it have to be "One Man Band?":D

One Man Band is Peter Tork's group, but he quit over creative differences. (Drumroll, Check Please!) That's probably Davy's best over-repeated joke, haha.

I agree with you pacanj.... He is a balladeer of sorts to me.. A true singer/songwriter not a "showman" he will bore those who are NOT his true fans.. He is adored by those of us who are...

Monkees.net... Wow, that was one of the first websites I ever saw, back in 1995 or so.

Shy, perhaps, but not timid. During the two times I've spoken with him, he projected a very strong "presence." He looked me dead in the eye both times.

    I liked him.

One thing that drives me nuts about Nez is that he tends to 'talk' his way through a song versus sing the lyrics. He's always done that, even in the 60's.

Oh, he isn't shy in speaking to someone, but I think he is shy like while performing.. He didn't seem to be an extroverted type of person, that most entertainers are.. I think he is appreciative if people enjoy his music, but he doesn't feel the urge to "entertain" the audience... as others seem to do..
This is what I think, my own opinion anyway.. I could be way off base, and not reading him correctly..

    +1

Anytime my wife hears me playing a live Nez recording, she is quick to make fun of this fact and mock it.

Did Benmont Tench play with Nez during the Largo set?

According to my friend who was at the show, yes. On piano, not organ.
