On the plus side, at least the issue can be surgically corrected. I hope she has a good outcome from that.

NP Jimmy Smith - Back At The Chicken Shack (Blue Note) mono NY pressing Classic with Stanley Turrentine, Kenny Burrrell and Donald Bailey.
I've put up some of Grazyna's tracks previously, but not theses... such a great mix of dreamy jazz vocals with a killer jazz combo backing. Grażyna Auguścik Fruit Tree...the instrumental break is killer with stunning piano licks that recall vaguely Bill Evans' melodic touch. At around the 3:25 mark.
More killer Grazyna jazz...this time with time with some brilliant dual horns. Killer. With a jazzy killer bossa nova groove. Wow drumming. Things Behind The Sun
So one more where the combo shines with dual horns and some killer free form drum kit licks. Grażyna Auguścik Road
With Smiles this album belongs to my two favorites from the Great Second Quintet. Timeless classic album.
NP: The singing isn't credited, so I'm presuming that it must be O'Neal. First time for this one too. Johnny O'Neal - Live At Smalls
I have just read Upcoming Gentle Giant in 5.1: Free Hand, Interview, The Missing Piece , that GG is planning a release of a CD/BR (Steven Wilson remix) later this year of this album..., the above post gave me the idea to listen to this album.
On this one from 1959, I really like Freddie Redd’s compositions. I also enjoy the other version of Music From The Connection from 1960 with Howard McGhee, Tina, Brooks and Freddie Redd……….another LP with Tina Brooks playing on it is always good.
I notice this is getting a rerelease at some point - so since I hadn't played it in a while I dug it out and have been giving it listen I enjoyed it more than I recall. Mobley and Green work well together.
Thank you. I spent a good part of my 50+ years of doing radio specials on "neglected artists" (from many styles and time periods), promoting their work and life stories. Most of them, I am fairly certain, never had a radio broadcast dedicated to their work anywhere in the world. A number of them got such joy from those programs that they gave copies to all their family and friends.
