Coincidence, I spun this title last night - Alan Jackson - Greatest Hits Volume II (And Some Other Stuff) Drive (For Daddy Gene)
Yup. That collection & the one before it are classics. Because of that I was hesitant to order the 3CD set I posted but you get extra tracks & it's more comprehensive. All 3 titles are in my music library though along with Under The Influence.
As Waylon says in the pilot: "Daisy Duke is Bo and Luke's cousin. She drives like Richard Petty, shoots like Annie Oakley, and knows the words to all Dolly Parton's songs." Being austrian and in my 20s, I have no real connection to the show, but loved it right away when I gave it a try a few years ago. Always a blast to pop in one of the DVDs (I own the first 3 seasons so far) and have some fun with the gang
On my second listen-through of the newest Cody Johnson release, “Leather”. (First was last night.) Very solid album. Some of the songs have wordplay that’s clever without being obnoxious. Good mix of up-tempo numbers and emotional ballads. And I really like the production, which avoids that EVERYTHING LOUD IN THE CHORUS hissy sound so common in mainstream Nashville. So far “Dirt Cheap” and “Watching My Old Flame” are my favorites. This is good music.
