Just replayed Jazz On A Summer's Day (of the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival). Love that film! Time capsule in the best sense, a great time for "people-watching." Photography / editing tries to give one a good feel for being at the goings on. Above all, music from top shelf artists.

So glad to have it on DVD. Something of an annual habit for me. Every time it's a delight.

Best one this configuration of the old MST3K crew have done yet. They're really starting to hit their stride. :righton:

I just found a copy of that and watched it a few weeks back, after not seeing the movie in 35 years. GREAT film! I love the bonus alternate endings.

Really enjoyed The Bank Job over the weekend.

Doomsday was pretty good for its genre.

Painted Veil - Naomi Watts & Edward Norton ".....Based on the classic novel by W. Somerset Maugham.." in rural 1920s China. Pretty scenery & moderately engaging/simple storyline - 7/10

  14. 88 minutes--a potboiler and Pacino just glides through it but it had its moments even though it was predictable and not the best of mysteries/dramas.

I finally watched the Seven Ups. I'd been sitting on the DVD for about 2 years. The cop story is rather average but the car chase around New York City was very impressive.

I've been meaning to rewatch Ghost World but not tonight since I have a new BD. Tomorrow.....I may get spooky though....? My Steve B. guage is too far below flood level.

Finally got around to watching I Am Legend. Pretty decent flick, but the one think I found sadly ironic is that in the film Tower Records is still around in 2012. :(

I have so bloody many DVD's I haven't found Ghost World yet. It'll show up. I did find Crazy In Alabama and watched it. What an odd film but I like it. Besides Rod Steiger is in it. Mr. Joyboy as da judge.

Of course, Crazy In Alabama is easy to find. I keep it in a hat box.
