It was much better than I thought it would be.

Watched "Paranormal Activity II". I liked it. One minor complaint I had about the first one was that I would be interested in learning more backstory about why these things were happening. This film provides the "why". Both films tie neatly together.

I've been watching "The Good Wife, Season One" on DVD. I watched all of these at least once on broadcast, but it's good to see again. DVD set looks awful though, not a good transfer at all.

Ms Marguilles. . . what a beautiful woman.

It did tie the two films together nicely. The first one didn't make much sense other than it was built on a platform to scare you at the end.

The second film explains what the hell was going on in the first one.

Classify this one as the "demon in the basement flick" or "things that go bump in the night" essentially.

Katie Featherstone's cleavage of course makes a nice appearance.

Watching Takers (2010) today (aka Bone Deep). Good ensemble bank robbery caper flick. Solid B film.

Stars the under used Matt Dillon (who's starting to sound like Michael Madsen). Matt still has his young good looks though he's 46 now.

    Inception - not that impressed.

I watched "Inception" for the second time on Blu Ray. I still don't think it's all that great.

Watched the 1954 version of "Black Widow" on DVD. This one sometimes gets lumped into the Film Noir catagory, but it really doesn't fit. Ginger Rogers does a good job, as does the rest of the cast.

I watched The Summer Of '42 on DVD last night. I love everything about it including the theme music.

On BD I watched The Stranger with Orson Welles. I liked the movie but it was DNR'ed to the bone. On DVD I watched Erroll Flynn in Northern Pursuit which was a rather blah WW II propaganda film. Half a dozen Nazis invade Canada and all hell breaks loose...

I just watched Acorn Media's DVD set of the BBC's The Six Wive of Henry VIII and enjoyed it quite a lot. I thought Annette Crosbie's Catherine of Aragon was fantastic. I've also ordered Elizabeth R.

Question - I have a Borders coupon and can get the Edward the King DVD set for just over $30 delivered. I've read that Annette Crosbie is quite good as Queen Victoria. Should I go ahead and get this? I've not read nearly as much about this period as that of The Tudors but I've loved the other BBC productions so far.
