:righton: Same thoughts, 'Too Many Too', too. 'Motoreyes' should have been on the remaster.
    Love 'Overhang'.
Same here, in winter for the most part.

So when is Ian going to let out some vault material from this era?! The 78 MSG gigs are fantastic!

    :righton:

  3. Was that the gig that was broadcast on KBFH in the late 70's? If so it is a killer.

I think so. All I know is that something like this deserves to be put out:

then Stormwatch (I'm a big fan of the mood of this album. Great ambiance. Too bad about the couple of fillers -I won't name them-)

and finally Songs from the Wood. (I've heard A Hunting Girl too many times... no more in concert, please.)

I really don't like how the browswer here unsigns you when you are typing out a long post, and when you sign in again, sometimes your long post is gone, all time spent wasted... I just wrote one here about the SFTW, HH, and SW songs and their count on post SW live releases and best ofs, long and lovingly detailed and now tis gone.. what a pisser... Minus the juicy details, here is the count:

Live versions: SFTW: 4, HH: 2 SW 0

Best ofs; SFTW: 5, HH: 3 (two acutally remakes!) SW: 1

One could infer from this that Ian prefers SFTW to the other two, seemingly his happiest of times in the 1970s. HH is darker, and SW is deep winter blue..

  8. ..or you could infer that Ian was playing what he thought others wanted to hear based on who knows what. Does Ian really like to play Aqualung over and over again?

Also, Stormwatch live Versions = 1 for Dun Ringel in the 20th Anniversary Box Set.

Well then add one to the SFTW column for Velvet Green BBC 78 on same set!

In my recently deceased long post I asked if anyone had compared the recent (remastered?) versions of the Tull songs on 2007's The Acoustic Best of... to their originals, you know A/B ed them. Seems to me that the SAOTTIOTND version on there has the longer intro like on steve's DCC Gold Cd of OM. Anyone know? 'prog'nosis? tootull? othertulheads?

The latest intro. (tea time) to the song, or the title itself? :)

Don't own it, never heard it.
It's on the MoFi & not on the original UK CD.

WHAT! Don't own it? tootull? you can neve have too much tull? worht it for the sound, new versions and total acoustic vibe, you must get it!!!

I just checked Skating on Acoustic vs. Best of (1993) it was only 3:51 on that set, but 4:08 on the new one, then I went to check it on DDC OM set only to find that gold cd missing form its case... add that to the casualties alongwith my opened MoFi Warchild... dropping like files... socksinadryer...

but sriusly, the new acoustic best of is essenital for any serious tull fan, which obliviously you are... :)
