I've been very impressed by Mew's recent work, I'm sure this set will be awesome. Hi-Rez Aqualung? Count me in!

The mono This Was is decent enough for the most part. The remix of this title from the same set is too bright for me.

That is my big issue with Mew, they are just too bright for my taste.

Yes, stories regarding the process of mastering/mixing this classic would be most welcomed! That kind of stuff keeps me glued to the seat.

Wilson's work was re-mixing the album from the multitrack session tapes so he wouldn't have run into it at all. For the original mix they'd probably substitute any damaged parts in from a safety copy.

Just as another reference to Mr. Mew's recent mastering work, the 2009 remastered edition of The Golden Age Of The Wireless was done by him.

I didnt realize Mew did the This Was deluxe & the new Donovan Sunshine stereo mixes. I am starting to get excited about this project again. Both of those sets were quite good.

Yup. The Donovan especially sounds superb.

Sorry if this has been posted but, do we know the contents of the two disc edition, or other editions?

Thanks for the photo, that is a really beautiful set. Like the way the CD/DVD/blu-rays are the same psych green as the LP label. Looks like some TLC went into the design of the whole thing.

I don't have the bucks for it, and really only need a decent version of the album on CD, so that's the version I'm going for.

Where are the marbles, postcards, bandanas, and replica flute mouthpieces? No sale from me if I don't get at least one of 'em.

Yeah. I thought there'd be a codpiece at the very least.

    Disappointing.

Very nice pictures on the Collector's edition. I'm tempted as hell. Depends on what's on the Bluray. If it's Hi-Rez, I'm on...... :D
