I remastered PHIL COLLINS "But Seriously" today for Audio Fidelity. Sounds fantastic.

Cool, I've enjoyed the other Phil Collins albums Steve has remastered. This is probably my favorite, so I'll definitely pick one up.

What kinda Sony PCM processor did they used for "Face Value" & "No Jacket Steve"?
I can not find the thread anymore.

FACE VALUE was an analogue mix. Are you asking what PCM unit they used to make the original CD? I have no idea, probably a standard Sony PCM1610.

NO JACKET STEVE was a digital recording, preserved in unmastered form on Sony U-Matic 1610 work parts.

    Is this what you mean?

    Yes, thanks.
    Another one:
Neither of these discs have DC, did you filtered it out?

    Thanks for the info!

Hands down, my favourite Phil album

Now Steve can you dig those 70s albums where Phil played drums in a certain band?

  9. Great news, looking forward to it.

    Wrong answer!

Some of us made their point clear enough, but I think it's worth repeating! AF, many thanks in advance :D

Thanks for the update--very excited for this. "Hello, I Must Be Going!" was revelatory, and I've listened to it as many times lately as I did back in high school!

Now then--Is it even possible in the remotest sense that you'll get to work on any GENESIS?

Oh I did not buy it for investment I love Phil Collins its just I had to check what cds I had because I remember skipping one due to not have enough money at that time so I was lucky it was Hello I Must Be Going that i was missing because it was $70 dollers cheaper.

Yes, different sequence, two tracks missing, but they both appeared on the 12" (UK at least) of Another Day...

Probably AF had some copies left in their warehouse, I guess most have been sent to the online sellers who backordered Face Value for their customers

This is definitely one of his best records!
I would also love to hear the Tarzan and Brother Bear soundtracks remastered (with bonus tracks from the DVD's) as a package.

Is the Face Value Audio Fidelity disk better than the '93 Atlantic Gold disk remastered by Ted Jensen?

I'll be so annoyed if I buy all of these Audio Fidelity disks separately then they are released as a box set later.

Steve since you had access to the multitracks of But Seriously, could you answer a couple questions

    1. What synth and/or guitar was being used to create the riff on "Another Day In Paradise"?

    2. I asked this on another thread, did you fix the separation problems on the last two tracks, so that "Father to Son" ends by itself?

    3. What synths/drum machines/samplers were used for this album?

Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

I'm not Steve, but Steve dealt with the two-track master, not the multitracks.
