Quick, put it back the way it was before Apple finds out!

I disagree. I think the contrast of the chaos of Revolution 9 and the pretty Good Night is the whole point. If Revolution #9 was on an LP with What's The New Mary Jane and Carnival of Light it would dull it's impact. The White Album ain't supposed to be pretty..

I can't say I would try to "fix" it, but...

I wouldn't have minded Not Guilty instead of Revolution 9.

I "fixed" the White Album running order too. I stopped playing the da*ned thing altogether, a very long time ago.

No kidding. I love the Beatles, but can't take this one. 'Blackbird' and 'Mother Nature's Son', fine. But I can (and do) comfortably live without the rest of it.

One man's ceiling is another man's floor. Or something like that. Actually nothing like that.

Best way to fix the White Album is to put Birthday on a CD3, and toss the rest of it.

If you have to delete 3 songs to make it fit, my vote is to delete #9, delete # 9, delete #9.

Come to think of it, Revolution #9 would probably have fit right into Eno and Byrne's My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts!

I "fixed" my cat a while ago, too...only had to delete TWO things...

A little shock here at the from-left-field White Album hate. The Beatles without the White Album is like Beethoven without that damned Fifth Symphony.

No way to "fix" the thing, baby. "It's the Beatles bloody white album, it's sold", or something like that.

I couldn't leave out any song from this album.
Sexy Sadie is one of the best songs
    I also love Revolution 1
As for Revolution 9, well, it's not one of my favourites but it fits.

There's another option -- keep it a double album and add "Hey Jude", "Revolution", "Not Guilty", "What's The New Mary Jane" and maybe even "Sour Milk Sea".

The bloody White Album most certainly does not need fixing!!!!!

Revolution #9 is one incredible piece of musique concrete, Sexy Sadie is, well, Sexy Sadie and as such is essential!!!! Why Don't We Do It In The Road is pretty short -- how much time is really being saved here?

Instead of cutting, how about adding in the extra tracks and have two full discs of incredible 1968 Beatles?!!!!

Puh and here I thought you'd "fixed" the White Album by running off a bunch of sleeves for sale to restore the intended original cover art... :wtf:

    If it ain't broke...

Revolution #9 could be edited into the middle of Stockhausen's "Hymnen", and only overexposed trainspotters such as myself would even care to take note. "America Is Waiting".

It could also have been a shopping list. I'm sure it never got to the point where he picked out a 1 LP track listing. The Beatles would have told him to sod off.

Oh, stop picking on the guy. Don't you all make mix cd's and try to "remaster" the ones you think sound awful?
