It's a great song- very catchy and memorable. It was actually written for a tag team to use (The U.S Express, I think) before Hogan decided he wanted it.

LMAO!!!!!!! Forgot how cheesy that video is! But the song seriously rocks! Look at the Hulkster get down on that bass! And any video that has a hot teacher dancing on a desk can't miss.:D

This is one of the best music threads here ever!:agree:

Even back then, the Hulkster always got his way at the expense of the younger talent. Not much has changed since then ... lol.:D

For those of us who remember the AWA, here is "The Wrestlerock Rumble".

What's amazing is that Nick Bockwinkle and Larry Zbysco are the best rappers on the song lol.

I like how The Rockers apparently like to party at Chuck E. Cheese.

I remember watching this back when it first aired during the 1987 Slammy Awards!!!!!! I recall being in awe watching Vince backed by all his musicallly-talented superstars ... haha.:agree:

Here's a better quality version of the live version of Vince's "Stand Back":

By the way, you have to love how Hulk can play the bass, hands-free, while pandering to the crowd! He really is immortal!:)

I can't believe you guys are bringing up backstage wrestling politics on these forums. Hilarious. How about those Kliq d-bag's? Keeping Shane Douglas down. I wish Bret Hart would kick their butt's! (What am I talking about!?)

Holy crap!!!!! Look at the footage around the 1:38 mark ... Shawn Michaels and Scott Hall shaking hands, in Las Vegas of all places ... the birth of the Kliq!!!!!! Who knew they were plotting to take over the biz even back in their AWA days????

Truly horrible song, but I love it!:agree:

OMG, I thought I was the ONLY person that remembered that bit of WWF trivia.:o

Man, what a masterpiece in music video.

But I have to admit, for what it is, it is a damn good track by Derringer.

It sure looks like her. It would make sense since she was such a major part of the Rock N' Wrestling Connection back in the day.

I don't have the list on hand but I recall that most of the musicians on The Wrestling Album were in fact most of the same guys that worked with Jim Steinman and played on Bat Out Of Hell, including Roy Bittan.

Edit: Found the list of musicians!

Piledriver is a very good album.
Crank it Up and Jive Soul Bro were my favorites.

every wrestling fan should take a read through it
