Re: age - I agree, that is wonderful. Regarding Mike, it's nice not to see a toupee, hair plugs or a dye job in an effort to looking younger. Good for him for not being youth obsessed.

 

I'd say Micky and Peter look about 10 years younger while Nez looks 10 years older (something like my late grandpa). Of course it doesn't matter at this point, but I wouldn't mind seeing him in his Dwight Yoakum baseball cap, no need to help excelerate the aging process.

Why are people shocked that people actually look their age. The former Monkees are in their mid to late 60s, and that is exactly how people that age look.

Some of these recent Monkee posts remind me of why I became scared of Springsteen forums. Obsessing over Mike trying not to look young is up there with the big debate of "Bruce only thanked Patti for her love and gave all his love to his kids in the liner notes, that must mean something."

 

When I was young I wanted to look like Peter Green. Now I do!

I am the youngest of a family of 7, recently I was introduced at a funeral by my sister to a neighbour whom I hadn't seen for years and she replied: ''James, gosh you used to be the youngest'' and I replied: ''I still am''!
