I picked up the Rhino Mars Hotel vinyl from a couple years back. Not sure if I need this on vinyl again.

Is there likely to be another run (black vinyl?) or is this it for record releases?

So let me guess, they're gonna dangle these demos in front of us like they did with the Wake demos? Give a couple, bury the rest? That tape Jerry made before Wake is just about one of the most fascinating documents they could uncover and it was entirely too glossed over.

They also threw the AB & WD Angels Share on a fileset and didn't do much else with it. Of course, I'm thrilled to have it in complete form at least. I just wish there was less tunnel vision with the live stuff, and more attention given to these amazing curios that exist

This "China Doll" demo is the most interesting item for me. The Wake outtake version (previous remaster) was surprisingly meh, just missing the magic somehow.

Only interested in the live portion myself. Debating whether to go for the download or the cd off amazon. Never picked up the Wake 50th but will pick that up too and will two nice live sets.

It’s just stupid. These reissues should have all the session tapes on them. For example American Beauty should have had the demos that I believe were available as mp3 at some point.

not some random concert with no link to the album

I think most that have posted on this thread might be suffering from “50th Anniversary Edition“ burnout perhaps?

Although I probably won’t pick it up even though I love the album, it looks like a good set to me.

Sure as hell is! But I love the album and the artwork so I pulled the trigger before I could think about it reasonably and sanely. Looking forward to the live show! Isn't this is the show Billy talks about in his book when the center speaker cluster was swaying in the strong winds directly above him? Yikes.

Good news!! I've enjoyed all of the Grateful Dead's 50th Anniversary Editions so far and have been watching the announcement for the Mars Hotel edition since the beginning of the year.

    I'm in.

I will pick up the 3 CD. I have never really given post Wake Of The Flood Dead much of a chance.

I guess we don't yet for sure, but I assume demo means Jerry only. Which I'm excited to hear, assuming so. This Wave That Flag one is super cool...!

Thanks, but $40.12 shipped after the discount. I’ll wait for a better offer, although I won’t get one from the eels.

I think the Mars demos are from the same Jerry solo demo tape as the Wake demos. We will probably find out tomorrow on the Deadcast.

That’s what the snippet of Wave That Flag sounds like.

They need to release this full tape

Except for Dave's Picks I'm done ordering physical product - quality issues, packaging that's not user friendly, collaterals that add little value. I'll probably go for the CD quality download, but I'll wait to see that it doesn't have any value-subtracted compression compared to the hi-res version. If they've compromised the CD quality release it may be time to finally jump ship.

I am totally in. As I don't have a copy of Mars Hotel at all, this is a no brainer for me, perfect occasion to fill the slot.

I enjoy Wake of the Flood 50th very much.
