Me either. I read an interview with McCartney recently and he threw 5.1 out in the conversation. I'm encouraged that he's aware of 5.1

Mouth watering...but it sure took a long time. I kinda feel sad for all those Beatle fans that died this century, who will never get to hear 'em.

Oh well, hang in there for a couple more weeks people.

And now I'm hearing rumors of 24/96 downloads...

Always something for the faithful to panic about.

Thanks for the sneak preview Jeff.

Well there you have it! Frankly it's not a big surprise that they were well mastered.

Hope this puts to rest all the comments from the usual cast of naysayers and negative posters

Tell me about it. I feel like I'm on my death bead and that these things will never show up at my door.

Thank you for that, Tone. Interesting. On my limited system the remaster samples sound very similar to the Y&B Parlophone - someone's complained about boomy bass? The bass on the Y&B kicked me in the gut, too, I don't hear a big difference.

For me, I live for Beatles in mono and am very anxious to hear the mono set.

Well, if they are, I take the review with a grain of salt. Yes, I get promo copies and review stuff too @ Crypt Magazine, but not this big ticket stuff like these box sets.

I'll wait until someone who's bought and paid for them to review them.

This stuff is not cheap, as you well know. There's a lotta money on the line here.

Good question. I have been wondering this also. If these are super limited then an actual number on the box would be more convincing. If it doesn't have one it could possibly be a clue that its a bit of hooplah that they are incredibly limited. Not conclusive if they aren't but it's more possible.

    I'd like to know also.

Of course they are promo items, how do you think we got them two weeks before release date? The whole point of this is to get the word out before the discs come out.

Jeff received promo copies -- no numbers on his mono set.
