Yes, I believe that’s true. (Except, of course, for the ending tag line, which is an alt-take intercut in both the Reprise trunk and this NBTB remix.) See my post in this SFF thread: Sinatra Family Forum: Question about Come Fly With Me Note that some sources (e.g. Silva’s discography and the SFF Sessionography) claim that the trunk contains a completely different take altogether (take -3 vs. take -6), but having done some A/B comparisons, I can state that is incorrect. All Reprise versions of “Come Fly with Me” released to date stem from take -6, except for the tag lines. And don’t tell your mama!
Can anyone comment on this release? Frank Sinatra - Nothing But The Best In 2021, it looks like there is a Blue/Clear version pressed at Pallas and remastered by Capitol for Europe. And, also in 2021, there is a Blue/Clear remastered by BG exclusive to Walmart in Canada. Which would you go for?
I was under the impression that they are the same product except for the fine print. Both are exclusive limited editions in different parts of the world—one in the UK, the other for Walmart in the US (not sure about Canada). The UK edition would not ship to the US by UMe; I bought mine from Walmart. The Sinatra Family Forum is going away July 31, but until then, see these posts and their followups: NOTHING BUT THE BEST 2008 - Page 38 NOTHING BUT THE BEST 2008 - Page 39
I've never realized how comparatively better the European/international cover of NBTB is compared to the US one, despite neither being design marvels:
As far as I can tell, yes. The new vinyl: However, a CD + DVD combo pack seems to keep the whole frame:
